The part numbering system is both complex and powerful as a means of accurately describing a single precise set of connector characteristics. Models with collet nut for fixing a strain relief To order models with collet nut for fixing a strain relief, add a 2 in the Variant position of the part number. The strain reliefs are available in nine colors and can accommodate different cable ODs. They are to be ordered separately as indicated in the Accessories section. All models fitted with a cable collet are also available with collet nut for fixing a cable relief. Vacuum Sealed Models The HGP, EWB, HGW fixed receptacles and SWH coupler enables the device on which they are fitted to reach a protection index of IP66 as per IEC 529 (not connected). They are fully compatible with all non-watertight models of the same series and can be widely used for outdoor TV cameras, man-portable radios, in armored vehicles, on ship installations and in the aircraft industry. The technical solutions adopted allow the vacuum sealed models to perform better than the requirements of the MIL-STD-1344A standard method 1008. To seal the watertight and vacuumtight models, LEMO uses an epoxy resin.
